The Toya Wening Regional Drinking Water Company is a company owned by
the Surakarta City Government which was founded in 1927 with a service area
covering 56 sub-districts in Surakarta City and several other sub-districts outside
the Surakarta City area, with a fairly wide service area with a fairly large number
of customers and infrastructure. The drinking water supply system at Perumda
Toya Wening is still very limited. Toya Wening's Perumda Drinking Water
Performance Report for 2021 states that access to piped drinking water in
Surakarta City is only around 34.63%, this is still far from Perumda's target of
achieving the 100% target, so efforts are needed to achieve this target. The level of
piped water leaks in the Surakarta city service area is very high, from the results of
the Perumda performance report, it is stated that the leakage rate in this area
reached 44.16%, this figure is still far above the national PDAM clean water loss
tolerance standard of 20%. The main cause of this very high water loss is because
the network pipes are quite old, namely the pipes that were installed in 1928. The
purpose of writing this final assignment is to find out how much loss Perumda Air
Minum suffers from pipe leaks and to find out how much it costs to rehabilitate
pipes using HDPE pipes, and to achieve this goal, the steps that must be taken are
data collection, both This is primary and secondary data obtained by conducting
surveys and observations in the field, including data on the length of transmission
pipes, material price surveys and wages which are then calculated using PUPR
Ministerial Regulation No. 28 of 2016. The losses borne by Perumda in 2021 are
11,221,539.45 m3 of water or the equivalent of IDR 31,420,310,460; for 2022 it is
10,259,913.12 m3 of water or the equivalent of IDR 28,727,756,733.93 and for
2023 in 2 months (January – February) we have experienced a loss of 1,717,011.94
m3 of water or the equivalent of IDR 4,802. 033,426.24, while the cost required to
replace 12,352 meters of HDPE pipe by open laying and 980 meters by HDD is Rp.
54,881,022,000,- (saying Fifty Four Billion Twelve Million Seven Hundred Forty
Two Thousand Rupiah).
