The problem of drainage channels on Segijapranata Road, Ngawi Regency,
East Java, which is quite an important access for vehicles to Ngawi Regency, needs
serious attention. Floods along the Soegipranata road mean that every year it is
always flooded during the rainy season. This causes problems in the residential
environment, transportation infrastructure and other public infrastructure, which
can disrupt economic activities and the comfort of road users. This research uses
Ngawi Regency rainfall data, using rainfall data for the last 10 years, which was
obtained from the Ngawi Regency Central Statistics Agency, while other data was
obtained from field surveys. Next, data processing uses the mononobe method to analyze rainfall intensity. The rational method is used to analyze the planned flood
discharge, while the channel dimension analysis uses the Manning formula. Based
on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the dimensions of the right
existing drainage channel are obtained B= 0.30m m and H = 0.45 m and the
dimensions of the left existing drainage channel are B= 0.45 m and H = 0.55 m so
that the right existing drainage discharge is obtained. 0.344m3/sec and left existing
drainage discharge 0.835m3/sec. So it is planned that the channel cross-section is
rectangular (B = 0.80 m, H = 0.55 m) and the guard height = 0.11cm. For
environmentally friendly and economical channel analysis, planning dimensions
are also carried out.
